Your friendly gaming and pop-culture store in Queensland — built on outstanding customer service, industry experience, and a genuine love of analogue gaming.
Founded in 2015, GamesHound has always been about community and creativity. After a brief hiatus in 2018, we’re back and excited to welcome both new and seasoned gamers. Whether you’re discovering something fresh, learning new skills, or rekindling your passion for hobbies from the past, we’re here for you.
At GamesHound, we believe gaming is about more than just play — it’s about connection, support, and friendship. From the very beginning, Brent built GamesHound on the idea that customers should always feel looked after. Many of his earliest “special customers” are still close friends today, a testament to the community gaming creates.
Social gaming builds long-lasting friendships, sparks imagination, and supports those who might feel isolated. It’s a timeless tradition that crosses boundaries, brings people together, and creates memories that last. We’re proud to continue that tradition at GamesHound.
Boardgames have always been at the core of gaming — bringing people together to laugh, think, and share stories. Whether you’re after family favourites or the latest releases, we stock a wide range to suit all ages and play styles.
Tabletop gaming is all about imagination, creativity, and strategy. From painting miniatures and building armies to role-playing epic campaigns, it’s a hobby that lets you create and explore worlds with friends.
For fans who love pop-culture and hobby treasures, our collectibles range has something special. From iconic figures to unique finds, they’re perfect for displaying your passion or completing your collection.
Through GamesHound Armory, we proudly support the growing Gel Sports community in Australia. Gel Blasters combine action, tactics, and teamwork in a safe and exciting way, and we stock everything from beginner kits to advanced gear to keep you in the game.
Brent is a passionate, enthusiastic gamer who has always loved sharing that passion with his community, family, and friends. He founded GamesHound in 2015, driven by a desire to create a space where people could connect over their love of games.
After a few successful years, life brought challenges that led to the store closing for longer than expected. But Brent never let go of his vision — and now he’s back, with GamesHound rebuilt, stronger, and more exciting than ever.
His dream is to see GamesHound grow into one of Australia’s leading gaming hubs: a place where gamers feel safe, supported, and truly at home — a place where you belong.
“That’s what GamesHound has always been about, and that’s why it’s back — better than ever.”
